Grounded in nature and the energetic, geological reading of the landscape. I'm working with observation, representation and the abstraction of the natural patterns of plant growth and land formation.

Reverence for the wild and natural world is a continuous exploration. As an artist my intent is to reveal the importance of this connection to our wild and primal core, our interconnection with nature, so important to our well being and the well being of the planet.

 

I paint as a practice to inhabit and explore the present, trusting an intuitive process of curiosity, and experimentation, as the work continually calls for an element of not knowing, physical engagement, spontaneity and risk, to bring something fresh and alive onto the surface.

Painting for me is also a process of reclaiming (and in many ways discovering) an authentic and expressive voice of who I am. I want to be continually surprised by an evolving experience of exploration and growth.
